Officer on patrol observed an emergency light activated on a docked vessel. Harbor Officers arrived on scene to check the vessel and reported the high winds caused the activation.

Officer report of a motor vehicle collision at a local dock.  Victim stated that his bumper was damaged when a green Subaru tried to exit its parking spot.  Officer contacted the driver of the vehicle that had reportedly caused the damage and found that the driver showed no signs of impairment and there was no damage to the vehicle in question.

Female stated that there were fraudulent charges on one of her credit cards.  Key Bank advised the victim that she needed to file a police report.

Officer contacted the driver of a rental vehicle who had parked the vehicle in such a manner that it blocked several other cars in at a local apartment complex.  Subject moved the vehicle.

Officers responded to a local bar for a report of a fight that was about to break out between two men playing pool.  Upon arrival, one of the individuals involved had already left the area.  Officers contacted one of the individuals involved who stated that a white man had tapped off his hat causing it to fall on the ground.  Drunken man stated that he told the white man to put his hat on his head or he would fight him.  Officers advised the subject that the bar manager wanted him trespassed from the bar for the remainder of the evening, and he should be careful about getting into fights.

Officers responded to a report of an assault that had taken place at a local cannery.  Investigation revealed that an altercation had taken place but that nobody involved wanted to press charges.  Aggressors were separated for the evening.

Security for a local fishery reported that a Bald Eagle was stuck in their crab line.  Fish and Game was notified of the issue.

Officers responded to a report of loud tenants at a local apartment complex.  Officers contacted the complainant and the accused; the noisy tenant was advised to try to have her kids keep the noise level down.  The complainant was advised that he should contact his landlord regarding these matters in the future.

Officers were notified of damage sustained to an electrical box.  It was found that a City employee may have accidentally backed into the electrical box.

A local business notified the Department they were going to move an oversize vehicle. Upon checking the permit to move the vehicle, dispatchers were unable to validate the permit. Officers responded and confirmed the business had a valid permit to move the vehicle.

Officers arrested Geronimo Perez IV, 28 yoa, for Assault after responding to the Clinic for a report of a victim with a stab wound. Officers spoke with the victim, who was reluctant to provide any information. After speaking with security and witnesses at the location at which the assault happened, officers were able to gather enough information to arrest Perez on Assault charges.

Officers arrested Aukuso Tiatia, 24 yoa, on the authority of an Unalaska bench warrant. Officers had prior knowledge that Tiatia had an active warrant out for his arrest, and contacted him on a traffic stop after observing him driving. Officers also found Tiatia had a revoked driver’s status. Tiatia was arrested on the authority of an Unalaska bench warrant.

The Animal Control Officer responded to a report of a loose dog near a local school. The dog was described as black in color with a white patch on its chest. The ACO was unable to locate the dog. Public Safety received numerous reports about the dog later in to the night as well. Officers were unable to locate the dog.

Officers responded to an intense verbal argument outside of the local bar. Most of the male patrons, reported to have been arguing over a female, had fled the scene just before officers arrived. Investigation revealed the brother of the inebriated female had returned the sister safely to her home before returning to the bar.

Security personnel of a local cannery requested an ambulance for an employee experiencing chest pains and having difficulty breathing. EMS tended to and transported the employee to the clinic.

Officers assisted EMS in a medical call by locating the patient inside a processing plant and remaining on scene until the patient was transported to the clinic in an ambulance.

Taxi driver reported another taxi driver had cut them off in the taxi line and had yelled at and flipped them off while doing so. Caller stated being tired of the other taxi driver trying to steal their customers. Officers advised the caller to stay away from the other driver and avoid any contact.

Black smoke was reported coming from a barge harbored at the dock on Ballyhoo Rd. Fire arrived on scene and successfully and efficiently put out the smoke and flames.

Fire personnel responded to a fire alarm at the local clinic. After gaining entrance into the building and clearing all the rooms, no sign of fire or smoke was found. Fire personnel cleared the scene and left without incident.

Several calls reported a fight occurring just outside the local hotel. Officers arrived and took statements from all involved and witnesses. No one wanted to press charges or reveal exactly who started the fight. Officers advised the involved party to stay away from each other for the night and again confirmed that no person wished to press charges.
