EMS Week; 20 May 2016
Unalaska, AK – Governor Bill Walker proclaimed the week of 17-21 May 2016 as Emergency Medical Services Week, in honor of all those around the State who contribute to the provision of emergency medical treatment to adults and children in need. The Unalaska Department of Public Safety would like to take this opportunity to recognize the volunteers who have donated their time and energy to providing EMS services in our community. These dedicated men and women, the backbone of our Fire & EMS division, have in the last 12 months responded to approximately 250 calls for service, from heart attack to hypothermia, epilepsy to assault. We hope that the community will join us in recognizing their contribution to the health and safety of Unalaska.
