Traffic Crime—Officers responded to a vehicle illegally parked in the handicap spot of a local business. The driver of the vehicle was later found to own a valid handicap permit.

Traffic Roads—Officers responded to a disabled vehicle that had been stuck near the Airport for over 3 hours. One of the drivers reported that they had drank a beer approximately 40 minutes before the contact. The driver was advised not to drive. Both vehicles were eventually moved with the assistance of a sober third party.

Fire Response—Firefighters responded to a reported fire at the City Dock. Upon arrival it was discovered that the fire was manned, however, plastics were being burned illegally. The responsible parties were told where they would be able to apply for a burn permit to burn their organic materials.

Assistance Rendered—Officers assisted Firefighters with their Fire Response located at the City Dock. Officers discovered a manned fire, however, found that plastics were being burned illegally. Officers warned the responsible parties, and notified them where to apply for a burn permit to burn organic material.

Traffic Crime—Officers requested the owner of a vehicle be contacted and asked to move his vehicle as it was obstructing Officer designated parking. The owner of the vehicle was never contacted.

Assistance Rendered—Officers responded to a single vehicle MVA in which one of the local taxi’s had lost control of the vehicle and driven in to a ditch. It was discovered that this was due to the vehicle having a flat tire. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was moved to the side of the road.

Public Safety—An Annual Sex Offender report was filled out by an individual in the lobby of Public Safety. Officers checked the report for accuracy. The report was then emailed to the correct agency.

Criminal Mischief—Officers responded to a report of damage at the Cemetery. It was found that the fence around the cemetery had been damaged by a red 1990 Toyota 4-Runner. The vehicle and driver have yet to be found.
