A kilowatt meter is available for check out, free of charge, at the Unalaska Public Library. Plug in an electrical device to the meter to determine the amount of electricity the device consumes. Many electrical devices consume electricity while plugged in, even if the device is not in use. Unplugging electrical devices while not in use is one way to consume less electricity.
