Welcome Message

Welcome to the Unalaska Public Library!

The Unalaska Public Library was founded in 1995 in order to support Unalaska's growing family sector and its vibrant fishing and seafood processing industry.

Growing from humble beginnings using donated materials in the World War II era Burma Road Chapel, the Public Library now occupies a 9,400 square foot facility built in 1999.

Patrons have access to over 43,000 circulating items, the Aleutian Region Newspaper Collection, 34 public Internet access workstations, as well as seating and study facilities for more than 50 library users. The Unalaska Public Library provides access to the OCLC World Cat system of interlibrary loan materials and is electronically linked to library collections maintained by the Unalaska City School District.

The library also provides video conferencing, passport application acceptance processing, notary services, and meeting facilities.

We are proud of our library and the services provided to our community.  Stop by and see what we have to offer!
