New PCR Director Hired

City Manager, David A. Martinson, has hired Roger Blakeley to fill the Parks, Culture and Recreation (PCR) Director vacancy, after a nationwide search began in September.

Mr. Blakeley has more than 25 years of parks and recreation experience in both large and smaller communities and extensive experience as a department level manager.  Mr. Blakeley’s most recent positions were with the City of Johnson City, Tennessee where he served as the Director of Parks and Recreation and for the City of Alexandria, Virginia as the Deputy Director of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities.

Mr. Blakeley will assume his new duties on January 5, 2017.
