City Hires New City Clerk, Catherine Hazen
City Manager Chris Hladick is pleased to announce that CATHERINE HAZEN has been hired as the new City Clerk for the City of Unalaska.
Mr. Hladick said: “I am pleased to promote Catherine Hazen to the position of City Clerk. Cat has worked for the City of Unalaska since 1999, starting in the Finance Department as an Accounting Assistant and then a Senior Accountant. She transferred to the Clerk’s Department as Deputy City Clerk in 2010 and received her municipal clerk certification in July 2013. Cat’s knowledge and training will be an asset to the Clerk’s Department and the City.”
Elizabeth Masoni, the present City Clerk, retires next month after nearly 15 years with the City. Mrs. Hazen will assume her new duties on May 19, 2014.
