Every day, millions of people sit down to a meal that includes wild seafood products produced by UniSea, Inc. Our fleets harvest fish from the deep, pristine waters of the Bering Sea and deliver them to our advanced plant in historic Dutch Harbor, Alaska, where we produce some of the world's best sustainable seafood products.
In 1974, UniSea began operations on a converted World War II Liberty ship in this historic, deep-water port. At the time we were known as Universal Seafood, Ltd., and the company’s first Alaskan Red King Crab was processed in October of 1975. Since those early days, the Liberty ship has been replaced by one of Alaska’s most advanced multi-species seafood shore plants.
