Russell Consulting LLC to Perform UDPS Assessment
Unalaska, AK – We are pleased to announce that Russell Consulting, LLC will be in Unalaska beginning February 26th, 2017, to initiate a first-ever independent assessment of the Unalaska Department of Public Safety. The assessment, which is similar to that which an agency undergoes when applying for accreditation, is an extensive undertaking and will be conducted over a period of 7-8 weeks.
The assessment team will evaluate existing policies and procedures for conformity with current best practices; will analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department’s internal processes and resource management practices; will evaluate whether the services provided by the Department meet public expectations, and will explore relationships both within the Department and with outside agencies and organizations. In addition to speaking with Department employees and volunteers, the assessment team will solicit input from community and City Council members during the assessment.
DPS contracted with Russell Consulting, LLC as a proactive measure to better understand our strengths and weaknesses. We greatly appreciate your participation in this evaluation and value your opinion.
