Seat D - Daneen Looby
Daneen Looby
After moving to Unalaska in 1991, I worked at APL throughout the 1990s until my husband Andy and I set sail in 2002 on our 41-foot sailboat to travel the world. After completing our circumnavigation, we returned home to Unalaska.
Having a background in finance I started a bookkeeping business to fill a void in our community. I currently serve as President of the Unalaska Senior Citizens Board, and I am an owner in The Norwegian Rat Saloon.
My husband Andy and I have raised three children in Unalaska -- Amy, Gus & Danielle. We have 6 grandchildren, Jazzmyne, Marina, Zoe, Hannah, Deklan & Dalyla, four of which reside in Unalaska.
I am proud to say I live in Unalaska and was elected by our community in October 2021 and re-elected in 2022 to serve as their city council representative, Seat D.
The term for Seat D expires in October 2025.
