Sealed Bids for the City of Unalaska 2017 MISCELLANEOUS STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS, addressed to the City of Unalaska, will be received at the following location:

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., local time on May 2, 2017, and then will be publicly opened and read.  Any bids received after the time and date specified will not be considered.

The work will include, but not be limited to, furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with the 2017 MISCELLANEOUS STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS.  The Work is dispersed at four locations in the City of Unalaska.  In total there are approximately 4,470 lineal feet of 12” to 24” Corrugated Plastic, Steel and Ductile Iron Pipe, (38) manholes, (2) Treatment Manholes, (2) concrete treatment basins, and related appurtenances.

Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by bid security as prescribed in the Instruction to Bidders, payable to the City of Unalaska, Alaska, in an amount not less than 5 (five) percent of the Total Bid amount.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

A prebid conference will be held on April 20, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Unalaska Department of Public Works.  A site visit by all bidders is strongly recommended.

The successful Bidder shall hold such Contractors and Business Licenses as required by State Statutes and City of Unalaska Municipal Code Section 9.04.  The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding, and to accept bids that are considered to be in the best interest of the City of Unalaska.

No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time set for opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 60 days.
