Town Park Playground Improvements Project

Sealed Bids for the City of Unalaska TOWN PARK PLAYGROUND PROJECT, addressed to the City of Unalaska, will be received at the following location by US Post, hand delivered hardcopy, fax or email:

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., local time on July 16, 2018 and then will be publicly opened and read.  Any bids received after the time and date specified will not be considered.

The work will include, but not be limited to, furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with the TOWN PARK PLAYGROUND.  The Work includes demolition of existing playground equipment and rubber safety tiles, expanding the play area with new border, and installing new playground equipment and a rubber safety tile system.

Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a TECHNICAL PROPOSAL as prescribed in the Instruction to Bidders.  The TECHNICAL PROPOSAL shall be integrated into a single electronic PDF file and be submitted by email separately to the Office of the City Clerk as described above or by delivery of a USB drive to the City Clerk prior to the bid due time and date.  The Technical Proposal file size shall be limited to 7 MB.  The City Clerk should be contacted at the phone number provided above prior to the Bid Opening time and date to verify that the Technical Proposal file was received. 

A prebid conference will be held on June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the City of Unalaska Department of Public Works.  A site visit by all bidders is strongly recommended. Prebid conference call-in number:

The successful Bidder shall hold such Contractors and Business Licenses as required by State Statutes and City of Unalaska Municipal Code Section 9.04.  The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding, and to accept bids that are considered to be in the best interest of the City of Unalaska. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Bidding Documents.

No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time set for opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 60 days.
