RFQ - Shipping of Bulk Scrap Metal & Junk Vehicles

The City of Unalaska, Department of Public Utilities, requests quotes from qualified Contractors for one time barge service for the shipment of approximately 4,000 tons of bulk scrap metal and junk vehicles from the City of Unalaska Landfill to Seattle Iron and Metal, located at the Port of Seattle, State of Washington.
Quotes will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the Office of the City Clerk, 43 Raven Way, P. O. Box 610, Unalaska, Alaska, 99685. Quotes received later than the date and time specified may not be considered.
The work will include furnishing all equipment and manpower to secure and transport approximately 4,000 tons of scrap metals and junk vehicles staged at the City of Unalaska Landfill, 1181 Summer Bay Road, in Unalaska, Alaska, to Seattle Iron and Metal, located at the Port of Seattle, State of Washington. R.L. Moore Metal Recycling is the owner of the scrap metals and junk vehicles and will be responsible for the loading of the scrap metals and junk vehicles onto the Contractor’s barge at the City of Unalaska Landfill.
