Art Room

After School Art

The Community Center Art Room consists of two areas, a general art room and a pottery room, both of which are open to pass holders and those who participate in our wide range of art classes. In the general art area, easels, tables, and a printing press are available for patrons to practice a variety of mediums.  In the pottery room four pottery wheels, a canvas table, and a variety of ceramic molds are available for patrons to throw, hand-build, and cast creative clay projects.  The pottery room also has two kilns available for operation by staff.  Clay is available for purchase at the front desk and firing of patron projects can be scheduled with staff.

A sample of the classes regularly offered through the Art Room are:  Parent and Child Gooey Art, Toddler Pottery, Glass Slumping, The Art of Batik, and Still Life Drawing.  Further details and dates for all Community Center classes are available in the PCR Activity Guide.
