Press Release - City Welcomes New City Manager
City of Unalaska Welcomes New City Manager
Unalaska, Alaska, March 6, 2018 – Mayor Frank Kelty is pleased to welcome Thomas E. Thomas, the new City Manager for the City of Unalaska.
Mr. Kelty says, “I am pleased to have Mr. Thomas on board. His previous City Manager experience and many years in local government will be an asset to the City of Unalaska.”
Mr. Thomas served as the City of Rock Island’s City Manager from September of 2011 to September of 2016. He previously served as Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Macon, Georgia and as Assistant County Administrator for Dougherty County in Albany, Georgia. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration degree.
Mr. Thomas, his wife and two of their children come to us from Illinois. Mr. Thomas will assume his new duties on March 19, 2018.
